COTONOU, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The latest technological innovation of young Beninese entrepreneur Richard Gautier Odjrado, "Asuka Spirit of AS World Tech", provides innovative solutions in the digital field.
In an interview with Xinhua, Mr. Odjrado observed that his brand "Asuka Spirit of AS World Tech" is made up of three products, including the LS-1 smart glasses, the Shango laptop and the connected watch V7.
"I wanted to reduce traffic accidents, so I invented connected glasses which allow you to listen to music and to make calls", he explained, adding that this solution also makes it possible to make or answer a call without having to touch the phone while driving.
This 32-year-old Beninese inventor has also developed a watch, called the "As Watch", connected via bluetooth to his smartphone, which also serves as an anti-theft device.
Equipped with an intelligent data protection system and an anti-theft system, the As Watch can protect the data of smartphone and its money accounts.
"These products that we are offering are accessible and useful not only for Africa, but also for the whole world," said Odjrado.
"These ideas of Mr. Odjrado should be encouraged, so that AS World Tech projects integrate as well as possible into the habits of the Beninese society," said the Minister of State for Planning and Development, Abdoulaye Bio Tchane, after meeting the young entrepreneur.
Odjrado is committed to enhancing the economic and social potential of Africa, by investing for five years in the technological and digital transformation of Benin and the continent through the development of products and business with high added value.
In 2009, Odjrado created Africa's New Challenge. With this company, he launched the same year ScoopMe, an information platform based on a model of decentralized communication.
